Hindsight (Cailean Dakota MacColl ’26)

Visions of better days will still come to a man

Who can no longer use his eyes

A woman who can no longer see

Will feel her art through her daughter’s hands

One of the most common disabilities

Is one many of us fear

But when my eyes finally fade

After years of bearing witness

I will be able to better remember

The sound of the lake I grew up next to

And can listen more intently

To the secrets the wind tells me

About what comes next
